After spending three years in a darkroom during my photography degree, I headed off in search of colour and sunlight - and didn't come back home for nearly ten years.
My work, studies and wanderlust took me across Spain, Portugal, Latin America, Africa and the Caribbean. On the road, my storytelling took on various formats: photography, writing, painting and graphic design. I have created written and visual content for organisations including the Uganda Wildlife Authority, USAID, Forest Peoples Programme, the Ecuadorian Ministry of Tourism, Compass Children's Charity and the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare. My articles have been published by The Sunday Times, The i News, The Local and One Green Planet. While editor at the activist travel company, Responsible Travel, I wrote, edited and and commissioned a series of over 500 online ethical travel guides. As field-based communications officer at Forest Peoples Programme I produced and co-directed campaign films in collaboration with forest communities in Colombia, Costa Rica and Guyana. On returning to the UK, I supported the growth of the NHS Forest through writing, photography and video production. I am currently based in Brighton, UK, where I work as a writer and editor. You can read my travel stories on my blog. |
